Turnover of construction enterprises grew by 6.7 per cent in January

The working day adjusted turnover of construction enterprises grew by 6.7 per cent from January 2019. The volume of sales, from which the impact of prices has been eliminated, increased by 3.3 per cent. Growth in turnover and sales volume accelerated compared to the months prior to January and turnover in all individual industries developed well.

Description: The index of turnover of construction describes monthly development in the turnover of construction companies. The examined variable is domestic turnover, formed of domestic sales subject to value added tax. The data used for calculating the variable are exclusive of value added tax. In addition, a volume index of sales is produced on construction that measures the development of output in the construction industry.

Starting from statistical release published in February 2020 the latest industries defined by the Business Register have been taken into use in the turnover and wage and salary indices.
