Service centre for national and international statistical
data
The
Library of Statistics is a unit of Statistics Finland that
specialises in the acquisition of statistical data and in the
provision of services based on them. It functions as a special,
public statistical library in Finland, and as a data archive for
Statistics Finland. With its expertise in information management
the Library serves all in need of statistical data.
- The Library has Finland's largest collection of national
and international statistics in both printed and electronic
formats.
- The Library has PC terminals which customers can use to search
information from all sources, including domestic and international
services that are subject to charge.
- The Library gives personal assistance in information searching
via email or telephone. Extensive searches are done on assignment.
The services of the European Statistical Data Support are available
at the Library.
- The Library's online services are open 24 hours a day every
day. The Library's website provides a variety of ways for accessing
statistical data and tools for searching and finding them on the
Internet.
