Read more about the correctionAccording to Statistics Finland, comprehensive schools had 561,000 pupils in 2023. Of them, 9,100 attended pre-primary education connected to schools, 359,600 pupils in total attended grades 1 to 6 and 192,300 pupils attended grades 7 to 9. Forty-nine per cent of the pupils were girls and 51 per cent were boys.
