Number of overnight stays by tourists returned almost to the pre-pandemic level in 2022

According to Statistics Finland, 17 million overnight stays were recorded for resident tourists and five million for non-resident tourists in 2022. The number of nights spent by resident tourists increased by 10 per cent and the number of nights spent by non-resident tourists was more than double that of the previous year. The total number of overnight stays was five per cent lower than in 2019 prior to the pandemic.
