Rise in the prices of old dwellings in housing companies slowed down in May 2022

According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, prices of old dwellings in housing companies rose in May by 1.7 per cent in the six largest towns and by 1.2 per cent elsewhere compared with the corresponding period one year earlier. Among large towns, prices rose most in May in Tampere, Vantaa and Espoo. In the whole country, prices rose by 1.5 per cent from the corresponding period in 2021 and they decreased by 0.8 per cent from April. In May, eight per cent fewer sales of old dwellings in blocks of flats and terraced houses were made through real estate agencies than one year ago.
