Fewer persons died from drugs in 2022 than in the year before

According to Statistics Finland, the growth in the number of drug-related deaths halted in 2022. A total of 250 persons died from drugs, which was good 37 persons fewer than in the year before. Drug-related deaths decreased especially among under those aged under 35. In 2022, a total of 108 persons died from drugs, which was 32 fewer than in the year before. The median age of those dying from drugs rose from 35 to 36 years.
