Constructions and construction works the most significant product group of intermediate consumption in 2009

According to the supply and use tables concerning the year 2009 constructions and construction works was the most significant product group of intermediate consumption in Finland's national economy. The next most important product groups were real estate services, mining and quarrying (incl. crude oil), legal and accounting services; services of head offices; management consulting ser-vices, food products, beverages and tobacco products and coke and refined petroleum products.

Intermediate consumption consists of the value of the goods and services consumed as inputs by a process of production, excluding fixed assets (capital goods) whose consumption is recorded as consumption of fixed capital.

Statistics Finland publishes annually supply and use tables describing product flows in the national economy, and input-output and analysis tables derived from them. The data published now concern the year 2009. Tables concerning 2010 will be published in February 2013.
