Number of passengers at Finnish airports continued to grow in November 2021
22 Dec 2021
Altogether 858,403 passengers flew through Finnish airports in November 2021. This was five times as many as last year, but only slightly under one-half of the number of passengers in November 2019. The exceptionally high relative growth in the number of passengers compared to the year before is caused by the collapse of air traffic due to the COVID-19 pandemic starting from spring 2020. There were 705,225 passengers at Helsinki Airport and a total of 153,178 passengers at other domestic airports. Helsinki Airport accounted for 82 per cent of all passengers at domestic airports.

Description: Air transport describes air traffic and transport of passengers, freight and mail at Finnish airports. Statistics Finland collects the data for the statistics from airport operators in Finland.
