Data collection
Statistics Finland produces nearly 160 different sets of statistics. A majority of the data for the statistics are derived from existing registers of general government. Statistics Finland also collects data with inquiries and interviews when the necessary data cannot be obtained elsewhere.
In terms of the reliability of statistics, it is important that as many as possible of those selected to the sample respond to the data collections. By participating you help us produce high quality statistics to support decision-making, research and democratic social debate.

The data are published as statistics and studies from which the answers of individual respondents cannot be identified.
