Russians made up the largest group of foreign tourists in September 2022

According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the number of nights spent by tourists was 15 per cent higher in the whole country and 72 per cent higher in Uusimaa in September 2022 than one year earlier. In total, 1.45 million overnight stays were recorded for resident tourists and 0.40 million for non-resident tourists. The number of overnight stays by non-resident tourists was almost double compared to the previous year. Russians made up the largest group of foreign visitors with around 50,000 overnight stays.
