Change

The StatFin database tables of the financial statement statistics on credit institutions, statistics on investment service companies and statistics on insurance activities have been moved and are now found under the structural business and financial statement statistics. The harmonisation of statistics has been carried out as part of the implementation of the new EU regulation on European business statistics (EBS). Data will be released for the first time on 29 September 2022.

According to Statistics Finland's preliminary data, the turnover of enterprises (TOL B to S, excl. K) without internal items totalled EUR 450.0 billion in 2021. Measured by turnover, the biggest industry was manufacturing (TOL C) with a turnover of EUR 143.9 billion. Trade (TOL G) was almost as large with a turnover of EUR 127.8 billion. Measured by turnover, the industry of education (TOL P) was smallest with a turnover of EUR 0.8 billion in 2021.
