Taika research data catalogue opened

Taika is a new research data catalogue, which presents unit-level data intended for research use. In addition to general descriptions of data, the data catalogue also contains variables and their descriptions. Data can be searched from the catalogue with a versatile search function.

The research data of the catalogue are subject to charge and their use requires a user licence. Researchers can view the data selection in the catalogue and select the descriptions of the required data as appendixes to the application for a licence to use statistical data.

Researchers should contact Statistics Finland's researcher services already when planning the research and preparing the application for a licence. The research data are primarily used in the FIONA remote access system.

The Taika data catalogue has been developed in cooperation with other register authorities and researchers. The number of descriptions and the content of the service will continue to be developed in future.
