Access to microdata

Microdata are confidential data which contain information about individual statistical units. The current legal framework enables access toanonymised microdata available at Eurostat only for scientific purposes. The release of the data sets to researchers is governed by Commission Regulation 831/2002 implementing Council Regulation 322/97 on access to confidential data for scientific purposes.

The permission to use to the data must be applied for direct from Eurostat. More information about the application and contact details are available on the introduction pages of the microdata.

The following microdata are or will be available:

ECHP - European Community Household Panel

LFS - Labour Force Survey

CIS - Community Innovation Survey

EU-SILC - The Survey on Income and Liviving Conditions

AES - Adult Education Survey

SES - Structure of Earnings Survey

FSS - Farm Structure Survey
