Producer prices for manufactured products rose by 7.2 per cent in the year
According to Statistics Finland, producer prices for manufactured products rose by an average of 7.2 per cent from January 2010 to January 2011. Producer prices for manufactured products sold on the domestic market rose by 7.3 per cent, while the producer prices of export industries went up by 7.2 per cent.

The export price index rose by 7.6 per cent and the import price index by 11.3 per cent in the year. The basic price index for domestic supply went up by 8.1 per cent and the year-on-year change in the wholesale price index was 10.7 per cent.
The rise in the producer prices for manufactured products was particularly caused by increased prices of metals, oil products and pulp from the previous year's January. The rising of the prices was curbed above all by falls in the prices of electronic products.
From December 2010 to January 2011, producer prices for manufactured products rose by 0.6 per cent. The rise was mainly caused by increases in the prices of oil products and chemicals.
