Turnover of construction enterprises grew by nearly 7 per cent in August to October 2015

According to Statistics Finland, the turnover of construction enterprises grew by 6.6 per cent and sales volume by 5.7 per cent in August to October 2015. In the corresponding period one year earlier turnover grew by 0.7 per cent.

Turnover continued to grow in all construction industries. The growth was strongest in building construction, where 10.1 per cent more turnover was accumulated than in the August to October period one year ago. The turnover of civil engineering grew by 5.3 per cent and that of specialised construction activities by 3.7 per cent.

The sales volume of construction enterprises grew most in building construction, by 9.1 per cent. In civil engineering, the sales volume grew by 8.4 per cent and in specialised construction by 2.8 per cent.

The volume index of enterprises’ sales is calculated by removing the effect of price changes from the turnover index series.
