Turnover of construction enterprises declined by 1.1 per cent in December to February from the year before

Turnover of construction enterprises contracted by 1.1 per cent in December to February from the year before. The turnover of specialised construction activities contracted by 2.0 per cent and that of building construction by 1.2 per cent. The turnover of civil engineering grew by 3.1 per cent.

Three months' year-on-year change in turnover of construction (TOL 2008)

The sales volume of construction enterprises was 1.5 per cent down year-on-year in December to February. The sales volume of specialised construction activities declined by 2.3 per cent and that of construction of buildings by 1.5 per cent. The sales volume of civil engineering grew by 2.2 per cent.

The volume index of enterprises’ sales is calculated by removing the effect of price changes from the turnover index series.

Index of turnover of construction included in the renewal of business statistics

Statistics Finland has renewed the production of business statistics. The review concerns more than ten sets of statistics. The renewal harmonises the production of business statistics. A uniform business production system has been adopted in the index of turnover of construction in May 2014.
