Building costs grew by 0.6 per cent year-on-year in August

According to Statistics Finland, building costs were 0.6 per cent higher in August 2013 than in August 2012. The prices of labour inputs in construction went up by 1.0 per cent, the prices of materials by 0.2 per cent and those of other inputs by 2.0 per cent from one year ago.

From July to August, the total index of building costs remained nearly unchanged. The prices of labour inputs went down by 0.1 per cent, the prices of materials remained unchanged and those of other inputs went up by 0.6 per cent.
