Building costs rose by 2.3 per cent in June

Building costs were 2.3 per cent higher in June 2012 than in June 2011. Labour costs in construction went up by 2 per cent, prices of materials by 1.8 per cent and those of other inputs by 5.6 per cent. This is indicated by the Building Cost Index of Statistics Finland 2010=100.

From May to June, the total index rose by 0.2 per cent. The prices of labour fell by 0.1 per cent, the prices of materials rose by 0.4 per cent and those of other inputs by 0.5 per cent.
