The statistics on annual wood consumption contain information on the use of wood in the forest industries and in energy generation. The emphasis lies on industrial wood consumption, which is further sub-divided into domestic and imported roundwood, and forest industry by-products and wood residues. Additionally, data by branch of industry are also published for industrial wood consumption. Data are presented by tree species and roundwood assortment, as well as by forestry centre (13).
