Finland's greenhouse gas emissions 2016 to the EU and UNFCCC

In 2016, Finland's greenhouse gas emissions amounted to 58.8 million tonnes of carbon dioxide (mil. t CO2 eq.), being 12.5 million tonnes less than in the comparison year 1990. The data are based on the reporting to the EU and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Total emissions were revised downwards by 0.08 mil. t CO2 eq. compared with the preliminary data published in December 2017.
