Base year revision in the statistics on the prices of dwellings
Year 2005 has been introduced as the base year in statistics on prices of dwellings. The weight structure and the quality standardisation models of the statistics have been updated. The time series has been re-calculated starting from the beginning of 2005. The new time series takes retrospectively into account the changes in municipalities that took place in 2009. Due to improvements in the combination of registers, the number of dwelling transactions in the statistics has increased also retrospectively.
The separate annual statistics on the prices of dwellings has been discontinued. Final data concerning the entire preceding year are published in connection with the publication of first quarter data.
