Students in curriculum-based basic vocational education numbered 133,800 in 2011
According to Statistics Finland, the number of students in curriculum-based vocational education provided by educational institutions was 133,800 in 2011. New students numbered 50,600. The number of students was equal and that of new students 0.1 per cent lower then one year previously. Fifty-three per cent of students were men. The majority of students were studying in the fields of technology and transport (42 per cent), welfare and health (16 per cent) and tourism, catering and home economics (12 per cent). Data on students describe the situation of 20 september.
