Data collection methods and data sources

The data are collected with a questionnaire inquiry which covers all single-establishment industrial enterprises employing at lest 20 persons. In addition the sample includes the industrial establishments of all multiple-establishment enterprises employing at least 20 persons. Included are also enterprises whose activity corresponds in scope with that of enterprises employing at least 20 persons. All enterprises employing under 20 persons are treated as single-establishment enterprises. Data for the enterprises that are not covered by the direct collection or from whom data have not been obtained are imputed using data from the Tax Administration’s corporate taxation records and the Business Register.
