The inquiry on oil storages collects annual data on the storages of heavy and light fuel oils and changes in these storages. The storage inquiry is an independent part of the inquiry on production of electricity and heat (inquiry form 4). Data on electricity producers’ production and fuels are at present obtained from other sources, so an entire separate inquiry is not necessary.
The inquiry is directed at producers of electricity who hold significant storages of heavy or light fuel oil. The inquiry does not cover emergengy stockpiling.
The data by plant in the statistics on production of electricity and heat can be handled at Statistics Finland only by persons participating in the production of energy statistics and, if it is necessary, also by other persons participating in the production of statistics on the basis of specific user licences. The data are protected against improper use in accordance with the data protection regulations of Statistics Finland.
