The statistics on credit cards describe payment transactions by credit cards in Finland and payments made with Finnish cards abroad by card type during the year. The inquiry on credit cards is made once a year in the spring as a questionnaire inquiry to the company in charge of the credit card in question. The inquiry is sent in January and the data are requested by the end of March right after the financial statement is completed. The data provider returns the form to Statistics Finland either by mail or as an email attachment.
